Dipendra is a Partner and the Co-Head of the Dispute Resolution and Arbitration Practice Group at RDJLaw.
Dipendra is well versed in civil, commercial and banking litigation and has vast experience in the various stages of dispute management in both Court and arbitration proceedings. He has advised clients on such diverse areas of law such as breach of contract, banking and finance, breach of directors’ duties, fraud and negligence, insolvency litigation, shareholders disputes, libel and slander and construction disputes.
Dipendra’s expertise includes advisory work, strategy advocacy and conducting hearings and trials before the Courts, arbitral tribunals as well as appeals before the Appellate Courts.
His expertise includes conduct of enforcement actions including committal proceedings and other modes of execution within and outside Malaysia.
Dipendra has been referred to as “one to watch out for” by peers in the industry according to the Benchmark Litigation 2018 publication.

Legal Practice

Advised and represented Malaysia’s employee provident fund in a contentious dispute between majority and minority shareholders in relation to the validity of resolutions passed at the Emergency General Meeting.

Represented a well-known international logistics and courier services firm in relation to a shareholder and directors dispute including various corporate and litigious manoeuvres to ensure ultimate control of the company and actions against former directors and employees for criminal breach of trust and breach of fiduciary duties following an external audit investigation.

Represented the securities arm of Malaysia’s largest banking group in relation to the recovery of trading losses in excess of RM50 million.

Advised and represented a large venture capital fund based in Singapore in relation to breach of contract and damages and the implications of Malaysian governed linked National Asset Management Company.
